Adagio is a 2005 KWPN-NA gelding by Navarone out of the TB mare, Love a Coyote. Adagio is a stunning 17.0 hand, bright bay gelding with enough chrome to get you noticed in the show ring!
Adagio has a wonderful personality – he is very inquisitive and loves attention! Very easy to work around and loves to be fussed over. He is a barn favorite of everyone – he is always “talking” when you come in the barn!

Adagio has been brought up slowly and just started serious jumping training this spring. He was started under saddle as a late 3 year old, and then was given the winter off to grow and mature. As a 4 year old, he primarily worked on basic dressage skills and began his introduction to jumping in the fall. Because of the bad winter weather (his trainer has an outdoor only set-up), he had some time off and was started back in regular work at the end of February.

Adagio has very comfortable gaits to ride and is geting his flying changes. He has been jumped 3’3 to 3’6 and definitely has the potential to go much higher. He just went to school at his first show; he needed a short lunging session and then handled the show atmosphere very well. His basics are very solid, and he just needs someone to start putting in the show miles! He would make a wonderful big Equitation horse, but could certainly do a little of everything (dressage, eventing, jumpers). He is a great prospect for someone looking for a horse brought up slowly and correctly – with some experience and additional training, he will be a phenomenal AA or Jr Equitation horse.

Adagio is registered with the KWPN-NA, he also has his Lifetime registration with USEF and USDF.

Adagio’s sire, Navarone is the only approved KWPN stallion son of the legendary Jus de Pommes, 2 time Olympic Gold medalist in Atlanta. Jus de Pomme is the only stallion who won two Golden Medals at the Olympic Games. Navarone also comes with the blood of other famous bloodlines, G. Ramiro Z, Alme, Abgar xx and Armstrong, the full brother to the Oldenburg approved stallion Rolando. The dam Terma also produced the approved son of Aram, Faram. Terma goes back to the grandsire of Rigoletto who is very famous in the Dutch breeding as a foundations sire. Navarone’s dams sire Armstrong received a 9 in free jumping and 9.5 for sheer perfections. He was described as very talented in both dressage and showjumping at his approval. Navarone produces athletes that are good for dressage or jumping. Navarone’s offspring have his correct conformation, gorgeous head, suppleness and powerful gaits along with a temperament and willingness to match.
Adagio’s half-brother (out of the same dam) is competing in lower level eventing with an AA rider.
