Adagio

Adagio is a 2005 KWPN-NA gelding by Navarone out of the TB mare, Love a Coyote.  Adagio is a stunning 17.0 hand, bright bay gelding with enough chrome to get you noticed in the show ring!

Adagio has a wonderful personality – he is very inquisitive and loves attention! Very easy to work around and loves to be fussed over.  He is a barn favorite of everyone – he is always “talking” when you come in the barn!

Adagio03202010-34

Adagio has been brought up slowly and just started serious jumping training this spring.  He was started under saddle as a late 3 year old, and then was given the winter off to grow and mature.  As a 4 year old, he primarily worked on basic dressage skills and began his introduction to jumping in the fall.  Because of the bad winter weather (his trainer has an outdoor only set-up), he had some time off and was started back in regular work at the end of February.

Adagio has very comfortable gaits to ride and is geting his flying changes.  He has been jumped 3’3 to 3’6 and definitely has the potential to go much higher.  He just went to school at his first show; he needed a short lunging session and then handled the show atmosphere very well.  His basics are very solid, and he just needs someone to start putting in the show miles!  He would make a wonderful big Equitation horse, but could certainly do a little of everything (dressage, eventing, jumpers).  He is a great prospect for someone looking for a horse brought up slowly and correctly – with some experience and additional training, he will be a phenomenal AA or Jr Equitation horse.

Adagio is registered with the KWPN-NA, he also has his Lifetime registration with USEF and USDF.

Adagio’s sire, Navarone is the only approved KWPN stallion son of the legendary Jus de Pommes, 2 time Olympic Gold medalist in Atlanta.  Jus de Pomme is the only stallion who won two Golden Medals at the Olympic Games.  Navarone also comes with the blood of other famous bloodlines, G. Ramiro Z, Alme, Abgar xx and Armstrong, the full brother to the Oldenburg approved stallion Rolando.  The dam Terma also produced the approved son of Aram, Faram.  Terma goes back to the grandsire of Rigoletto who is very famous in the Dutch breeding as a foundations sire.  Navarone’s dams sire Armstrong received a 9 in free jumping and 9.5 for sheer perfections.  He was described as very talented in both dressage and showjumping at his approval. Navarone produces athletes that are good for dressage or jumping.  Navarone’s offspring have his correct conformation, gorgeous head, suppleness and powerful gaits along with a temperament and willingness to match.

Adagio’s half-brother (out of the same dam) is competing in lower level eventing with an AA rider.

SOLD.

Northern Freya 2008

Northern Freya

Northern Freya

Northern Freya, also known as “Sweetie” is a 1994 registered TB gray mare, 16.3 hands.  We have decided at this time to refocus at the farm and take a break from breeding for a few years.  Sweetie has given us 4 stunning foals – all very impressive looking and athletic horses.  Sweetie has an exceptional pedigree for someone looking to produce a sporthorse or a future racehorse.  She is by Northern Wolf out of Zeus Belle…but her 5 generation pedigree includes Northern Dancer, Citation and War Admiral.  Sweetie produces an excellent jumper or equitation type horse. She has been easy to get in foal (3 out of 4 foals were breedings with frozen semen) and is a wonderful mother. She is already DNA typed with KWPN-NA and if bred to registered stallions, her foals receive Register A, KWPN-NA papers. Asking $500 – will consider offers from good homes.

Here are the foals she has produced so far…

Visionary

2002 Dark Bay mare by Consul, 16.3 hands.

“Gracie” is an excellent mover with a phenomenal trot…she prefers to be in the jumper ring.  She has successfully schooled above 4ft fences with no difficulty and was shown in 2008 at the 3′6 level (placing in the top 3 at the NJHP).

Watermark

2003 Gray (born bay) gelding by Voltaire, 17.3 hands.

“Marcus” is a charismatic and talented, getting noticed wherever he goes. He had a very successful show season in 2008 – starting in the hunter jumper division and later moving to the 5 year old jumpers at the HITS shows. He would easily switch from the hunters to the equitation divisions and has the scope and power for the jumpers. He has room to spare when jumping the 4 ft fences and easily jumps any type of fence in front of him.

Bravado

2006 Gray (born bay) gelding by Voltaire, already 17.1 hands.

“Tigger” is the spitting image of his older brother Watermark. He will be started under saddle the summer of 2009 and then begin his training towards the hunter/equitation/jumper divisions where he will certainly excel.

Dynamic

2008 Gray (born bay) filly by Rousseau, will mature to over 17 hands.

“Gabby” is the first “dressage” pedigree cross out of Northern Freya. She has exceptional floating gaits and shows the typical uphill build of Rousseau’s offspring.
